MAUS Stixx Pro is fire protection you install and leave alone: a sealed stick, smaller than a marker pen, mounted inside the space you want protected. At 170 °C it triggers by itself and fills that space with potassium aerosol, which absorbs the heat and breaks the combustion reaction before anyone has noticed a fire. Typical places on Bali are distribution boards and meter cupboards in villas and apartments, battery and electrical enclosures, outboard motor cowlings and equipment housings. Stixx Pro 5 is the version for small enclosed volumes up to 0.5 m³. Nothing has to be switched on or monitored — the trigger is the heat itself.

Where is MAUS Stixx Pro installed?
In the small enclosed spaces where electrical fires start: distribution boards and electrical panels in apartments and villas, battery and electrical compartments, under an outboard motor hood, and similar housings. Stixx Pro 5 is intended for enclosures up to 0.5 m³. One unit protects the space it sits in, so count the cabinets rather than the rooms.
Can it go off by accident in a hot climate?
It triggers at 170 °C, far above anything a cabinet reaches from ambient heat or ordinary load in a tropical climate. The temperature it responds to is a fire, not a warm day.
Will it damage the equipment it is protecting?
The potassium aerosol works as a gas of very fine particles rather than as powder or foam, so it does not coat the equipment the way a powder extinguisher does. The particles also stay suspended longer, which gives better protection against re-ignition once the flame is out.
